I Don't Like American Idol

I just have this to say: I don't watch American Idol. My reasoning is because Simon Cowell has no room for anyone who isn't a "diva". That being, in the lines of Mariah, Whitney, Celine, Beyonce, etc.

Lots of great songs are written by people who don't sing pop music like it's opera. I just don't like the bias on those shows. I often don't enjoy songs that are just an excuse to sing 3 to 4 minutes of overwrought, pseudo-black-gospel-music ghastly scale. There's more to music than that. Seriously. I don't wanna hear your technical ability. I WANNA HEAR A SONG!!!
